"The Treasure: A Fun Romp Through the Amazon with Love, Adventure and Headhunters by Richard E. LaMotte is a high-energy, hilarious, witty, and engaging adventure story of one woman’s quest to find a missing husband and a long-lost treasure. Linda is the beautiful and alluring wife of wealthy businessman Truman who went missing in the South American jungle, leaving his wife in danger of being left penniless if the board of his company has their way. Linda and Truman’s attorney Tom set off to find the treasure and find Truman. Along the way, they meet tribal warriors, local guide Sam, and other unsavory characters. Each page is full of lively interaction, interesting plot twists, and high-stakes adventure. In the end, the story is wrapped up beautifully and the characters each find a fitting conclusion to their journeys.

The Treasure by Richard E. LaMotte is cleverly written and sure to please the reader with its charming humor and surprising plot twists. It was a delight to read! I enjoyed the character development of each of the main characters. I loved the realism of the dialogue and the way each character was motivated by their dark secrets to make the decisions they did – brilliant! The author displays a great sense of humor and an understanding of human nature in the way he writes this endearing story. Readers will find themselves laughing and enjoying each page from start to finish. The author paints a picture in each scene and draws the reader in through his fast-paced dialogue, vivid descriptions, and a page-turning plot."

THE SONG OF RAMON AND MARIA

Reader's Favorite 5 Star Review

"The Song of Ramon and Maria by Richard E. LaMotte is an epic romance novel set against the backdrop of the Mexican Revolution at the dawn of the 20th century. Despite misgivings from her family, Maria Duranthon marries the love of her life, Ramon, an Indian cowboy, in the small Mexican town of Rosario. But when Ramon is drafted into the Mexican army and Maria's father is unexpectedly murdered, the two lovers will diverge toward very different paths in life. After suffering a harrowing assault by a despicable captain, Maria leaves for Mexico City, realizing to her horror that she is pregnant. She is forced to beg on the streets until she finds refuge in the bordello of a European madame. Meanwhile, Ramon joins the revolutionaries while being hunted by the federal forces. Can Ramon and Maria find their way back to each other?

A sprawling tale of love, loss, and betrayal, The Song of Ramon and Maria never lets you take your eyes off the pages. Author Richard E. LaMotte weaves an epic yarn filled with romance, tragedy, and political intrigue that keeps you on your toes with a string of twists and turns you never see coming. This is a story full of heartbreak where our heroes sacrifice themselves for the greater good. Ramon and Maria are two star-crossed lovers who find themselves separated from each other due to extraordinary circumstances they have no control over. If you love to read epic romance sagas or historical fiction, I can't recommend The Song of Ramon and Maria enough."
